Quaitelly Groundwater Monitotin g Repoli <br /> BSK Job No P92219 3 <br /> January 1995 February 9, 1995 <br /> Vain Den Beigh Food,, Page 2 <br /> Stockton Facility <br /> I <br /> ►n February of 1993 BSK drilled an--' 3niplcd foul sni, norings to depths of 74 feet below the <br /> ground surface Results of the analysis of the soil Samples From the four borings indicate that <br />' petroleum hydrocarbons have not impacted soil beyond a radius of 35 feet from the former <br /> underground tank location Refer to BSK/Remediation Services, Soil Investigation and Quarterly <br />' Groundwater Sampling Repoit, April 2, 1993 for additional data and information <br /> Groundwater monitoring well MW-4, screened between 75 and 95 feet below the ground surface, <br />' has been sampled on a quarterly basis since October 1992 <br /> In December of 1993, BSK in,.(alled two additional groundwater Monitoring Wells, MW-5 and <br />' MW-6 Monitoring Welts MW-5 and MW-0 are screened between 70 and 90 feet below the <br /> ground surface <br /> ,JANUARY 1995 MONI IORING EVENT' <br /> Groundwater Sampling Method <br /> Prior to sampling on January 17, 1995, the depths to water in Monitoring Wells MW-4, MW-5 <br /> and MW-6 were measured utilizing an electric sounding tape The top of the groundwater <br /> surface in the well and the bottom of the well weie sampled for visual observations using a clear <br /> acrylic bailer The collected groundwater sample was examined for the presence of odors and <br /> indications of petroleum product The well was then purged of at least four well volumes with <br /> a submersible pump Parameters for pH, electric conductivity, and temperature were measured <br /> after removal of each well volume Consistency of these measured properties indicated that fresh <br /> water was being drawn fioin the aquifer A groundwater sampling log was maintained for each <br /> well (refer to Well Field Logs) The groundwater removed during purging was placed into a <br /> 55-gallon DOT 17 E/H drum and labeled <br /> The groundwater was Sampled with a Feflon"" point source bailer The samples were placed into <br /> an appropriate sample container with preservatives added and labeled The samples were stored <br /> in a cooler with ice and shipped to the BSK State-certified Analytical Laboratories in Fresno for <br /> chemical testing <br /> Analytical Testing <br /> Chernrcal analyses were performed on <br /> the samples for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel <br />' (TPH-D) by Method DHS GC/FID and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes (BTEX) by <br /> EPA Method 5030 and 602M <br /> A summary of the analytical results from this sampling event and previous samplings is presented <br /> in Table I The Chun-of-Custody Record, Analytical Laboratory Data Sheets, and the Level II <br /> QC Summary arc attached <br /> Fell" <br /> ssociates <br />
