Interim <br /> Corrective Acton <br /> Van Den Bergh Foods Company <br /> 1400 Waterloo Road, Stockton CA <br /> IT Project No. 760691 <br /> Proposition 65 Warning and Notification <br /> As required under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of <br /> 1986also known as Proposition oposztion 65), on February 27, 1987, the Governor <br /> published a listing of those chemicals determined by the State of California to <br /> cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Proposition 65 <br /> requires that businesses that handle any of the listed chemicals notify people <br /> m the affected area of that fact. IT Corporation handles some of the listed <br /> chemicals at the Interim Corrective Action Project located at the Van Den <br /> Bergh Foods Company facility at 1400 Waterloo Road in Stockton, Califonua. <br /> The chemicals present on site that have been determined to cause cancer <br /> f <br /> include: <br /> • benzene <br /> • 1,4-dichlorobenzene <br /> • diesel exhaust <br /> • gasoline engine exhaust <br /> • silica. <br /> In addition, the following contaminants on site have been determined to cause <br /> reproductive harm: <br /> toluene. <br /> MZ/11-29-94/RHS/HASp/94-0037 JAF <br />
