T.0 Introduction <br /> 1.1 Objective <br /> The objective of this Project Health and Safety Plan (HASP) is to ensure that safe working <br /> conditions exist during the Interne Corrective Action Project at Van Den Bergh Foods <br /> Company located at 1400 Waterloo Road in Stockton, California The safety procedures <br /> outlined have been established based on preliminary analyses of potential hazards within the <br /> site Tlus HASP describes the health and safety requirements and procedures to be used <br /> while conducting field work and includes. <br /> • Responsibilities of persons on-sate. <br /> • Training Program <br />' Medical Surveillance Program. <br /> • Hazard Analysis <br /> • Hazard Control Program. <br /> • Personal Protection Program <br /> • Decontamination Procedures <br /> • Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Program <br /> • Certain Specific Work Procedures (Drill ng safety, etc) <br /> 1.2 Site and Facility Description <br /> The Van Den Bergh Foods Company site as located at 1400 Waterloo Road in Stockton, <br /> California The site is on primarily flat land and houses an active food processing plant. <br /> Three underground storage tanks (USTs) formerly occupied the site as well, but these were <br /> removed about ten years earlier. The USTs contained gasoline, diesel fuel and Stoddard <br /> solvent, and it is suspected that at least one of the tanks leaked prior to removal Excavation <br /> and removal of the contaminated soil an addition to groundwater monitoring and soil sampling <br /> will be conducted completely within the boundaries of the Van Den Bergh Foods Company <br /> property.
