WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS ORDER NO.R5-2003-XXXX 6 <br /> SHORE TERMINAL SERVICES TERMINAL#29 <br /> ENHANCED BIOREMEDIATION PILOT STUDY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 4. Discharge of groundwater, PetroZyme, and/or NutriMax at a location or in a manner <br /> different from that described in Finding Nos. 6 through 9 is prohibited. <br /> B. Discharge Specifications <br /> 1. The Dischargershall provide hydraulic control that provides full and complete t <br /> p rov <br /> containment within the treatment zone of any groundwater pollutants, amendments, <br /> and breakdown products of the in situ treatment process during injection of any <br /> groundwater. The Discharger shall continue to provide hydraulic control while <br /> injection and cleanup are ongoing. <br /> 2. No waste constituent shall be released or discharged, or placed where it will be <br /> released or discharged, in a concentration or in a mass that causes violation of the <br /> Groundwater Limitations. <br /> 3. This Order allows discharge of PetroZyme and NutriMax to the treatment area as <br /> described in Findings 6 through 9. No other products shall be discharged. <br /> 4. The pilot study authorized by this Order shall cease six months after it is initiated. <br /> C. Groundwater Limitations <br /> 1. Based on baseline groundwater samples obtained a minimum of one month prior to <br /> startup of the pilot study, the Discharger shall not cause more than a five percent <br /> increase above the baseline concentration of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium <br /> downgradient of the treatment area. Compliance shall be measured in extraction <br /> wells EX-1 and EX-2. <br /> • <br /> 2. The Discharger shall not cause the amendments or breakdown products of the in situ <br /> treament process to migrate outside the treatment zone or the capture zone of the two <br /> extraction wells. <br /> 3. Treated groundwater shall only be injected through the three injection wells V <br /> upgradient of the treatment zone. <br /> 4. The Discharger shall not cause the groundwater to contain concentrations of chemical <br /> constituents, including amendments and breakdown products of the in situ treatment V <br /> process, in amounts that adversely affect municipal, domestic, industrial, or <br /> agricultural uses. <br /> 5. The Discharger shall not cause the groundwater to contain taste and odor producing <br /> substances in concentrations that cause nuisance or adversely affect beneficial uses. <br />
