The Revised Work Plan responds to Regional Board staff's 15 July 2003 letter with
comments on the 3 July 2003 Enhanced Bioremediation Pilot Study Work Plan, which was
submitted as a supplement to a Report of Waste Discharge (RWD). The RWD proposes
extracting groundwater downgradient of the treatment area, adding a bacterial consortium,
enzyme enhancements, and specialized nutrients to the extracted groundwater, oxygenating the
water, and then re-injecting the groundwater upgradient of the treatment area.
Regional Board staff has no comments on the Revised Work Plan and therefore, the RWD is
complete. Tentative Waste Discharge Requirements for the HRC® injection pilot study have
been sent out for your review. If you have any questions, you may contact me at (916) 255-3119
or by email at lewisd@rb5s.swrcb.ca.gov.
DEVRA LEWIS
Environmental Scientist
cc: Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Port of Stockton, Office of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs, Stockton
Ms. Amanda Spencer, Hart Crowser, Inc., Lake Oswego, Oregon
California Environmental Protection Agency
`4 Rec3rled Paper
The energy challenge lacing California is real.
