Field logs <br /> Visual descriptions of the materials and soils encountered <br /> in the sampling and boring will be documented. Special <br /> notes will be taken of items of interest to the analytic <br /> laboratory (odors, color, moisture-status, etc. ) . Also, <br /> soil types, ie. , sand, loam., silt, clay, etc. , will be noted. <br /> utilizing the Unified Soil Classification System. Soil' <br /> samples will be submitted to the consulting geotechnical- <br /> engineer <br /> eotechnicalengineer for any further testing -required (one of three . <br /> tubes from the split-spoon sampler) . <br /> RECOMMENDED ANALYTICAL SCHEME <br /> All samples obtained in accordance with the protocol will be <br /> analyzed for "total petroleum hydrocarbons" and "soluble, --� <br /> organic-lead" . The consulting -laboratory will be informed of, <br /> the County' s requirements or desires regarding preferred analytic 4 <br /> methods (LUFT Manual EPA or State DHS) prior to beginning any <br /> analysis of the samples . <br /> INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS <br /> Upon receipt of the analytical data, additional sample analyses <br /> may be required. Following completion of the appropriate <br /> analyses, interpretation of the data will determine the remedial <br /> actions necessary to make sure this site does have any materials <br /> or soils that constitute a significant problem to the owner or <br /> the environment. <br />
