(RRM) on behalf of Chevron Real Estate Management <br /> Company,provides notification that RRM has completed the well destruction activities at the <br /> site referenced above (Figure 1). On December 27, 1996, Wells MW-1 through MW-5 <br /> (Kleinfelder Test Well 44) were properly destroyed by V&W,Drilling, Inc. under Permit <br /> 9011229 issued.by the San Joaquin County of Public Health Services. Well destruction was <br /> performed in accordance with RRM's Well Destruction Work Plan dated December 12, 1996. j <br /> Well destruction procedures included pressure grouting each well casing with cement grout, <br /> via tremie pipe, from the bottom of each well to the ground surface. The well vault boxes <br /> were then removed and the upper 2 feet of each well was drilled out. The upper 2 feet of <br /> each well was then backfilled with native material. Well destruction procedures were <br /> inspected and approved by you during the field activities. <br /> On November 27, 1996, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board issued a <br /> No Further Action Required Concurrence letter for the site. With the completion of well <br /> destruction activities, all site assessment activities have been completed. <br /> P. 0 .
