In December 1989, WaterWork Corp drilled and sampled 5 soil borings to determine the extent <br /> of lead impaction in the vicinity of the former underground product storage tanks (Figure 3). <br /> Laboratory analyses of the soil samples collected during drilling determined that all borings <br /> contained non-detectable lead concentrations (WaterWork report dated June 1, 1990). However, <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected at levels above method detection limits In soil <br /> samples collected from SB1 and SB2. A summary of laboratory results are presented in Table <br /> 1. Laboratory reports with chain-of-custody documents are included in Appendix 1. <br /> Investigation of potential groundwater contamination was required by SJCPHS. <br /> Table 1.
