sCUdHN aHL�-EY WHOLESRLE r <br /> h r.3/3 <br /> f <br /> UST LUFT LETTER <br /> Page 2 <br /> Before receiving a PHS/EHD corrective action directive and in order to receive <br /> the SWRCH Cleanup Fund Latter of Commitment„ you must make application to the <br /> State of California Water Resources Control Board's (SWACs) "Petroleum <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund" (Fund) . An application package for the <br /> Fund has been provided. <br /> The Fund was created pursuant to Chapter 6.7.5 of the california Health and <br /> Safety Code to help eligible owners and operators of petroleum underground <br /> storage tanks to; <br /> 1. Meet federal requirements to demonstrate financial sesponsibili.ty; <br /> 2. obtain reimbursement for coats of the cleanup of unauthorized <br /> releases of petroleum from USTe; and <br /> 3. Obtain reimbursement for damages awarded to third -parties who are <br /> injured by petroleum releases. <br /> The maximum amount available from the Fund is $990,400 per occurrence. <br /> claimants are responsible for the first $10�OOO of eligible 009ts. <br /> Application$ must be submitted to the 8WRCBiCleanup Fund to undergo <br /> eligibility ranking for funding in the 1994195 state fiscal budget year.
