The annular <br /> space between casing and hole to be filled with sufficient clean, graded & washed, <br /> gravel to reach to a minimum of 2' above the top of the screen (3'± bgl-) a <br /> bentonite plug will be placed to isolate the cement from the slots below. The <br /> remaining annular space will be filled with cement and fitted with a"pre-cast metal <br /> box and locking cover. <br /> • The preserved soil samples will be transported under chain-of-custody to a State <br /> Certified laboratory with instructions to analyze for BTEX, TPHg `l& oxygenates <br /> using current approved methods and detection limits. <br /> n I. <br /> • Approximately 24 hours after completion of operations, each well"will:be purged <br /> and developed as prescribed by State & County procedures. Purge water will be <br /> placed in suitable containers and stored on site pending laboratory°resuIts. <br /> • Water levels of all wells will be measured, and water samples obtained for <br /> analysis. Samples will be analyzed for BTEX & TPHg using Tri-Regional <br /> approved methods and detection limits. .MW-4 & 5 will also ',66 analyzed for <br /> oxygenates. The field work to be witnessed by a representative of the EHD. <br /> r.. <br /> 3. <br /> • The locations; and wellhead elevations of the new wells will be determined by a <br /> licensed surveyor. <br /> • All field operations to be supervised by a qualified geologist or engineer as <br /> directed by the County EHD. <br /> r <br /> • Upon receipt and analysis of the laboratory results and field data, a report will be <br /> prepared and submitted to the San Joaquin County EHD. <br /> I <br /> Pending review;of this+wor:-kplan, ,we-will, prepare-bid- packages wforesubmittal-to-!!: <br /> qualified drilling contractors and analytical laboratories. When wet have received <br /> approval of the workplan from the EHD staff, we will request pre-approval from the <br /> State Cleanup Fund staff. After receiving authorization from that agency, we will <br /> submit a drilling pemit application and required fee, and schedule the Vj ork.
