January 3 . 1995 - Wm. J. Hunter & Associates , (WJH, ) prepared an <br /> interim report giving details of the work; refer to that document <br /> for more details . <br /> February 15 , 1995 - The San Joaquin County PHS, Environmental <br /> Health Division responded to that report, requiring additional <br /> work; a copy of that correspondence is included as EXHIBIT B. <br /> The following workplan has been prepared to comply with that <br /> document. <br /> WORKPLAN FOR PLACING SEVEN (7 ) SOIL BORINGS AT 1401 W. FREMQNT <br /> ST. , STOCKTON, CA, & CONVERTING THREE ( 3) TO GROUNDWATER <br /> MONITORING WELLS. <br /> NOTES: ( 1 ) Locations of underground utilities will be identified <br /> prior to beginning work. Soil borings/monitoring <br /> well locations will be clearly marked prior to mobil- <br /> izing equipment. <br /> (2) All drilling & completion operations will be done <br /> under the direction of a geologist from WJH. <br /> fir 1 . Mobilize V. & W. Drilling Co. auger rig & support truck <br /> equipped with suffficient 8" or 10" nominal size, hollow--stem <br /> augers to complete each soil boring/monitoring well without <br /> having to decontaminate equipment. The tentative Locations of <br /> the seven (7 ) auger holes/wells are shown on PLATE VI ; final <br /> locations may vary slightly due to interference from underground <br /> utilities. A drilling permit application & required fee <br /> accompanies this workplan. A general health & safety plan is <br /> attached as EXHIBIT C. <br /> 2 . Soil samples will be taken at 5' intervals from 5' below <br /> grade to the capillary fringe, which is estimated to be at about <br /> 12 ' bgl. Coring equipment will consist of either an 18" or 30" <br /> California Modified split-spoon sampler designed to hold metal <br /> tubes for obtaining soil samples . At least one (1) tube will be <br /> preserved for analysis by placing teflon tape over the ends of <br /> the tube, covering with plastic caps, and sealing with duct tape. <br /> Each tube will be clearly labeled & placed in a sealed chest with <br /> ice pending transfer to a State Certified laboratory for <br /> analysis, <br /> 3 . Drill spoils & unused core material will be place in clearly <br /> labeled, sealed metal drums & stored on location pending results <br /> of the laboratory analyzes . <br /> 4 <br />
