Surge and pump well construction materials with a surge block and o'r stainless steel
bailer. Remove sufficient amount of material to clear well screen of construction
{ material and remove all sediments from well casing to create a conduit for-representative
sampling.
Pump or bail a minimum of five volumes from well to complete development.
2.) Containment of all purge and development water in D.O.T. 17 drums.
3.) Sound the well for total depth.
4.) Cap off and replace monument top.
PURGING AND SAMPLING:
i
i
1.) Clean off andopen wellhead monument, secure area with appropriate traffic control. ;
2.) Initiate a detailed field monitoring log.
3.) Screen well head annulus for the presence of volatile aromatics iwith the use of a i
calibrated photoionization detector.
4.) Scan for the presence of free floating product with a product interface meter.
5.) Confirm .depth to water and overall depth of each well. (calculate standing water
column)
6.) Complete a 3-5 well volume purge with a 2" Grundfos stainless steel submersible'or a
environmental bladder purge pump.
7.)• Record the Ph, Conductivity, Color and Temperature of each volume to establish-and
confirm well development:
{
8.) Contain all purge & decontamination water in D.O.T. 17 steel drums.
9.) Bail and Sample each well with a teflon, stainless steel or disposable bailer.
(A bailer blank will be collected prior to sampling each well) `.
