Strong petroleum odor was
noted by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (F-HD)inspector. Soil samples`were collected beneath the UST's, dispenser, and
piping. Petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) and aromatic'volatile
compounds (BTEN)were detected in all four soil samples tank`from beneath
the UST's. Contaminants were not detected in the line and dispenser
samples. ¢,
6/27/94 Date an Unauthorized Released Report #94-U32 and Notification of
Hazardous Waste Discharge #94-085 were filed.
10/17/94 Date of issuance of Notice of Reimbursement (NOR) to responsible parties
Valley Wholesale Drug and Louis Shoneff Tr and that site entered into Local
Oversight Program (LOP).
10/21/94 Approximately 128 cubic yards of contaminated soil was removed this date.
The excavation measured approximately 16 feet wide by 13 feet long by lb
feet deep. The excavated soil was transported to a landfill. Contaminants
were detected in the soil samples collected from the sidewalls and bottom of i
the excavation. l
8/3/95 Three borings SB1, SB2, and S133 were drilled and groundwater monitoring
wells MW1, MW2 and MW3 were installed (screens from 5 to 25 feet) on
this date. Analytical results of the soil samples included in the September
1995 .report showed contaminants from 11 to 16 feet below grade.
8/25/98 Three, geoprobes GPl, GP2 and GP3 were installed on site thisdate, to
define the northern extent of the contamination in soil and groundwater.
Analytical results of the soil samples from GP3 on the southeast corner of
the building indicated contamination from 11 to 17 feet below grade and
were non detect at 23 feet below grade. MTBE was detected in the grab
water sample from GP3.
8/15/00 Three monitoring wells MW4, MW5 and MW6 were installed toward the
northern downgradient end of the property on this date.
