J Hunter & Associates
April, 1995
PURPOSE QE WORK
On October 21 , 1994 , a site which had contained two ( 2) 1 , 000
gallon UST' s was reentered in order to remove contaminated soil
which had been returned to the hole and deepen & widen the
excavation in order to remove as much additional contamination as
possible. Field observation & laboratory analyzes of soil
samples revealed that detectable amounts of BTEX & TPH-G were
present in all six soil samples taken from the sides & bottom of
the excavation, including the two taken at 15' & 16 ' below grade,
the approximate depth at which water was observed entering the
hole The results of that work was detailed in a report prepared
by Wm J. Hunter & Associates titled "INTERIM REPORT COVERING
RESULTS OF SOIL CONTAMINATION INVESTIGATION, VALLEY WHOLESALE
DRUGS, " dated 1/3/1995.
On February 15, 1995, the San Joaquin County EHD responded to
that report, stating that several soil borings will be necessary
in order to define the lateral & vertical extent of soil con-
tamination, and that at least three of the borings should be
converted to groundwater monitoring wells This workplan has
been prepared to address those requirements
PRO
1401 W Fremont Street, Stockton, CA
NAME AND RE
Louis E Shoneff, Valley Wholesale Drugs, same address
NAME OF
-SITE CONTACT:
Paul Souva, Controller, (209) 466-0131
1
