i
SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATIONS:
i
The latest work reveals that the lateral limits of groundwater contamination extend
farther to the north than expected from prior work. In fact, MW-6, the farthest from
the removed UST, measured the highest levels of MTBE of any of the wells sampled.
(see TABLE IX.) BTEC &TPHg were not detected in any of the soil samples for
MW-5 or MW-6; however, MTBE was present at 25' in the soil sample from MW-5,
and in soil samples at 10',15',20', & 25' from MW-6. Refer to TABLE V for amounts
detected. These anomalous readings might indicate another source near the north
end of the property which has yet to be identified.
Based upon the results of this latest work, we recommend the following:
The 6 wells be sampled and analyzed on a quarterly schedule for at least 2
events.
• Conduct an extensive receptor survey of the area, especially to the west, north,
and east.
Further investigative work will depend upon the results of laboratory analyses and
the receptor survey.
Will" mZu
nter, RG SE,ac cFolo
W .
