i <br /> 5. Drill spoils and unused core material will be placed in clearly labeled, sealed metal <br /> drums and stored on location pending laboratory results. <br /> 6. After reaching total depth, 2", blank & slotted, flush, screw-threaded PVC casing, <br /> fitted with a bottom cap, will be run in the hole. The bottom 20' of the casing to <br /> consist of .02" horizontal machine-cut slots; the top 5' to be blank. The annular space <br /> between casing and hole to be filled with sufficient clean, graded & washed, gravel to <br /> reach to a minimum of 2' above the top of the screen (3'± bgQ a bentonite plug will be <br /> placed to isolate the cement from the slots below. The remaining annular space will <br /> be filled with cement and fitted with a pre-cast metal box and locking cover. <br /> 7. The preserved soil samples will be transported under chain-of-custody to a State <br /> Certified laboratory with instructions to analyze for BTEX, TPHg, & oxygenates using <br /> current approved methods and detection limits. <br /> 8. Approximately 24 hours after completion of operations, each well will be purged <br /> anddeveloped as prescribed by State & County procedures. Purge water will be <br /> placed in suitable containers and stored on site pending laboratory results. <br /> 9. Water levels of all wells will be measured, and water samples obtained for <br /> analysis. Samples will be analyzed for BTEX & TPHg using Tri-Regional approved <br /> methods and detection limits. MW-4 & 5 will also be analyzed for oxygenates. The <br /> field work to be witnessed by a representative of the EHD. <br /> 10. The locations and wellhead elevations of the new wells will be determined by a <br /> licensed surveyor. <br /> All field operations to be supervised by a qualified geologist or engineer as directed <br /> by the County EHD. <br /> Upon receipt and analysis of the laboratory results and field data, a report will be <br /> prepared and submitted to the San Joaquin County EHD. <br /> Upon approval of this workplan, and receiving pre-approval for the, work from the <br /> State Cleanup Fund staff, we will submit a drilling pemit application and required fee, <br /> and schedui the work. <br /> Wm. r & Ass ciates <br /> April 8, 000 (Revised) <br /> cc: Va y Wholesale Drug Co. <br /> RWQCB, Central Valley Region - Marty Hartzell <br />
