Lab <br /> analyses indicated soil impacted by petroleum. Over-excavation done under approved work plan, Public Participation <br /> notification, and PHS-EHD oversight. Removed visually impacted soil. Post excavation bottom soil sample results reflected <br /> in "after" column of Section III table above. One monitoring well placed in hottest area as per directive of PHS-EHD and <br /> recorded only hit on first groundwater sampling event. Two subsequent groundwater sampling events revealed no TPH-G <br /> or BTEX. Receptor survey revealed 4 distant receptors(closest X1,400 feet northwest) and soil mass calculation indicated <br /> 0.008 pounds of soil impacted by Benzene. <br /> This document and the related CASE CLOSURE LETTER,shall be retained by the lead agency as part of the official <br /> site file. <br /> M11 6/97 <br />
