(Ground Zero) conducted groundwater monitoring and sampling for the first quarter 1995 at the Nor Cal Beverage Company site located at 1.800 East Fremont Street in Stockton, California. Well MW-1 was monitored for depth to water and depth to bottom. The well was purged by bailing approximately three casing volumes of groundwater from the well . Electrical conductivity, pH, and temperature were monitored until these parameters stabilised during the purging process. Ground Zero's field technician then collected a groundwater sample from the well and shipped the sample under chain-of-custody to Argon Labs of Ceres, California (DOHS certification # 1873 ) for analysis. The sample was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TP[ig) using EPA Method 8015; and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) using EPA Method 8020. The attached ,laboratory report indicates TPHg and BTEX were not detected in the groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW-1. This is consistent with previous results. With this event we have completed the two additional rounds of sampling requested by Son Joaquin County Public Health Services- Environmental. Health Division prior to closure. A closure report is in preparation and will be submitted for your concurrence.
