• 4 SUBSURFACE CONDITIONS
4.1 Soil
The soils at the site consist primarily of clayey sands and clean sands,
with occasional lenses of clay and silt. Since the soil boring was drilled
through the excavation, gravel fill was encountered to a depth of 16.5 feet.
Sands were encountered from 16.5 to 76 feet, with one sandy clay
interbed at a depth of approximately 53 to 58 feet.
4.2 Ground Water
Ground water was first encountered approximately 69 fleet below the
ground surface, and the static water level is approximately 68 feet below
the ground surface. Based upon EMCON's knowledge of the area and on
topographic information, the ground-water flow direction is probably
toward the south-southwest.
i
Pt9%905%9050101 d 6
Rev. 0 July 2, 1999
Mon Associates
