1
Well Installation and Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
Second Quarter 2008
1950 West Fremont Street,Stockton, California
Based on slug test analysis of the three wells, it appears that the aquifer is heterogeneous. Hydraulic
conductivity values ranged from 0.056 feet per day (ft/d) at well MW-1 to 1.65 ft/d at well MW-2.
' Hydraulic conductivities estimated from slug test analyses are summarized in Table 2. The fitted curves
are presented in Appendix G.
' 3.4 GROUNDWATER VELOCITY
' Groundwater elevations from the newly installed wells were used to estimate horizontal shallow
groundwater velocity beneath the site. Groundwater elevations for the three wells used to determine
vertical flow are shown on Figure 4. Hydraulic conductivity estimates are provided in Table 2 and
Appendix G.
' Groundwater velocity is obtained by the equation V=Ki/n, where K = hydraulic conductivity, i =
groundwater gradient, and n = porosity. Groundwater velocity at the site ranged from 0.00112 feet per
' day (ft/d) at well MW-1 to 0.0328 ft/d at well MW-2, based on hydraulic conductivity values ranging
from 0.056 ft/d (MW-1) to 1.65 ft/d (MW-2), a groundwater gradient of 0.004, and a porosity of 0.2
' (20%).
1 3.5 GROUNDWATER ANALYTICAL RESULTS
Groundwater samples were collected from three newly installed wells. The collected groundwater
' samples were analyzed for VOCs, SVOCs, dissolved CAM 17 metals and MDMA. Groundwater
analytical results are tabulated in Table 3. Laboratory methods are listed in Section 2.8. Historical
' sampling results and the results from the June 2008 groundwater sampling event and are presented on
Figures 3 and 5, respectively. Data qualifications and the findings of data validation are presented in
' Section 2.8.
3.5.1 MTBE and Additional Volatile Organic Compounds
VOCs, including MTBE, were not detected above respective laboratory reporting limits (RLs) in the
samples collected from the site during the June 2008 investigation.
Project 102790 10 July 2008
