Foppiano Investments . 3 - August 25, 2011
Site History/Assessments
In December 1999, soil contamination was identified during the removal of USTs . To date ,
19 monitoring wells have been installed and monitored regularly. A Site map showing the
location of the former USTs, monitoring wells and site features are provided at the end of this
five year review.
Remediation Summary
• Free Product: No free product was documented throughout the life of this case
• Soil Excavation : An unknown volume of impacted soil was removed and disposed
offsite in 1999
• In-Situ Soil Remediation : Soil vapor extraction , approved by San Joaquin County LOP
• Groundwater Remediation : Ozone infusion/ sparging , approved by San Joaquin County
LOP
General Site Conditions
• Geology and Hydrogeology: The Site is underlain by interbedded and intermixed sand ,
silt and clay. The depth to groundwater varies seasonally between 45 to 49 feet bgs and
the groundwater gradient is south at approximately 0 . 001 feet/foot.
• Estimate of Hydrocarbon Mass in Soil/ Groundwater: Priorto remediation, ATC
Associates, Inc. estimated that approximately 8 , 592 of TPHg remains in site soil and
212 pounds of TPHg remains dissolved in groundwater.
• Groundwater Trends : There are more than 7 years of groundwater monitoring data for
this Site .
