SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> 2150 E. FREMONT ST . , STOCKTON, CA 95205 <br /> PREVIOUS WORK AND REPORTS <br /> Two previous reports/ applications have been prepared and <br /> presented to the San Joaquin Department of Health Services , <br /> Environmental Health Division (EHD) by Jim Thorpe Oil Inc . , <br /> (JTO) . These two appended documents are : ( 1 ) Application For <br /> Tank Removal , and ( 2) Re--Excavation/Resample Work Plan, <br /> dated 3/23/92 . This report is appended . <br /> The re-excavation/resample work plan proposed to partially <br /> fill the existing excavation at the north and south ends <br /> where no contaminants had been found, using the portions of <br /> the spoil that had tested clean, and to enlarge and deepen <br /> the excavation and resample in the areas where contaminants <br /> had been found. <br /> This report by WJH relates the activity at the site <br /> subsequent to and as a result of Report # 2 listed above . <br /> The site location is given on Figure 1 and other figures <br /> where appropriate . <br /> BACKGROUND DATA RE : <br /> TOPOGRAPHY, SOILS AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The site is located in an industrialized area, on the <br /> parking lot and partially in the entrance to a rear parking <br /> yard for trucks and equipment for several businesses . The <br /> parking area is enclosed by a chain link fence that had been <br /> partially removed in order to get the excavation equipment <br /> to the site . The fence and entrance gate were replaced <br /> after operations were completed on 4/21/92 . <br /> The area location is shown on Figure 1 of this report , a <br /> USGS topographic map base . Elevations approximate 22 ' MSL . <br /> The parking area is covered with somewhat degraded asphalt <br /> and in the immediate area where the UST ' s had been located, <br /> a 6" concrete pad had been poured . <br /> Figure 2 shows the area soil types , although the surface <br /> soils in the general area had been completely covered with <br /> asphalt , roads , curbs and buildings . The surface soil is <br /> shown as "Stockton Adobe Clay" , which was found in the <br /> excavation underlying the surface cover . <br /> 2 <br />
