Only a minor amount of <br /> V contamination (TPH-D) was found in Sample # ' s 6 and 7 at the <br /> pit bottom at 20 ' bgl . Application of the LUFT manual <br /> Leaching Potential Analysis (Table 2-2 , page 28 of LUFT) by <br /> WJH derives a score of 48 point's ; which indicates a <br /> guideline of 1000 PPM TPH that 'can be left in place without <br /> 3 damaging groundwater . In addition, the geologic conditions <br /> as noted earlier show the area to be primarily clay to about <br />! 150 ' bgl . Clay is not a positive aquitard but it is an <br /> aquiclude; that is , permeability to liquid flow is low, <br /> 5 <br />
