Fremont St. RO#: 0000251
Stockton, CA., 95205
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the June 6,
2002 "Groundwater Monitoring Report- First Quarter 2002" submitted by Cambria
Environmental Technology Inc on June 10, 2002 and has the following comments.
Fuel oxygenate and lead scavenger laboratory analyses were not included for three of
the four monitoring wells in this report. Only monitoring well "S-4" had these constituents
analyzed for and included in the report. At the very minimum, all wells associated with
this underground storage tank release site are to have EPA Method 8260B data during
at least one quarter per year.
You are hereby directed to collect and analyze all monitoring well groundwater
samples from this site for the seven oxygenates and lead scavengers by EPA
Method 82608 at least once a year. These analyses are to be included in the next
quarterly monitoring event scheduled for this site.
A schedule that identifies which quarter Shell will continue to conduct this
analytical requirement is to be included within the recommendation section of the
next quarterly monitoring report submitted to EHD.
You may contact Michael Infurna at minfurna(a)sicehd.com if you have any questions.
You may also contact Mr. Infurna at (209) 468-3454.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Divisi n
Michael J.
