Fremont
I received your May 7,2001 fax regarding the Shell site at 2494 East Fremont Street, Stockton. We are not
planning to install a monitoring well during this phase of investigation. We made a mistake during the
application process for this encroachment permit. We applied for encroachment for a monitoring well
when we intended to apply for encroachment for a soil boring.
Enclosed is a copy of the revised City of Stockton Encroachment permit. I spoke with Sean Gallagher of
the City of Stockton Public Works Department and he said the encroachment permit we have is valid for
installation of a soil boring rather than monitoring well, and that he will edit his copy of the permit and we
should edit our copy of the permit accordingly.
Sean mentioned one condition that is different for a soil boring permit: we need to replace the entire flag in
the sidewalk where we drill our boring. We will make arrangements to have this done after our field work
is completed.
w
r
Cambria Environmental Technology,Inc.P.O.Box 259 Sonoma,CA 95476 Tel(707)935-4850 Fax(707)935-6649
