Fremont St. <br /> Stockton, CA. 95205 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) <br /> has reviewed the recently submitted "Site Investigation Report"and has the following <br /> comments. <br /> Gasoline detected in the soil at 35.5 feet below the surface in soil boring"SB-2" on <br /> October 28, 1997 exceeds the allowable limit for contamination left in place without <br /> further investigation. In order to verify if the groundwater beneath the site has been <br /> impacted by a petroleum release from this underground tank site,a groundwater <br /> investigation is now required. <br /> A workplan that proposes the installation of at least three (3) monitoring wells is to be <br /> submitted to PHS-EHD for review by March 2, 1998. Placement of the wells should be <br /> in areas that will allow for groundwater quality data up,down,and laterally gradient to <br /> all potential sources on this site. <br /> Soil and groundwater samples from the well installations should be analyzed for Total <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline, BTEX, and additionally for the oxygenates listed <br /> in the enclosed PHS-EHD policy by EPA Method 8260. <br /> You may address your submittals to Michael Infurna, Senior REHS,or you may call him <br /> at (209) 468-3454 should you have any questions. <br /> Donna Heran, REHS, Director <br /> ZE mE mentta Health Division g r�-� <br /> G/.�/ecc.r, (/ <br /> Michael J.
