Fremont St. <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has recently reviewed the latest <br /> quarterly monitoring report for the former ARCO site located at 2478 E. Oak Street, just north of the <br /> SHELL site located at 2494 E. Fremont, Stockton. <br /> The ARCO site has elevated levels of gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, and 1,2-Dichloroethane <br /> (DCA) in all of their monitoring wells and will be continuing subsurface investigations to define the lateral <br /> and vertical extents of the adsorbed and dissolved constituents. The EHD has directed ARCO to also <br /> include a proposal to conduct interim remedial action in the work plan due July 10, 2008. <br /> The EHD has allowed SHELL to postpone remedial evaluations for this SHELL site until after four <br /> consecutive quarterly reports for the ARCO site have been evaluated. The EHD now requires that <br /> SHELL submit a proposal to conduct interim remedial action at 2494 E. Fremont. The interim remedial <br /> action is to be conducted at the site until a full remedial action plan is evaluated and approved by the <br /> EHD.
