CAMBRIA
January 28, 2003, Philip West Industrial Services, Inc of
Benicia, California transported the soil to Alred Waste
Industries' Forward Landfill in Manteca, California for disposal
Well Materials. Wells S-1-85, 5-3-84, and 5-4-83 were constructed using two-
inch diameter, Schedule 40 PVC casing with a screen slot size of
0 020-inch and#2112 Monterey sand Well 5-1-85 has a 10 75"
OD steel conductor casing installed from 0 5 to 60 5 fbg
Well Naming Convention The groundwater monitoring wells installed during this
investigation were given well names that are not typical for
monitoring wells Since these wells have deeper screened
intervals and were installed in groups, we added a number to the
end of the well name to differentiate these wells from each
other This extra number indicates the depth of the bottom of
the screened interval For example well 5-1-85 is part of the
MW-1 well cluster and the bottom of its screened interval is
8s fbg
Screened Interval Well 5-1-85 is screened from 75 to 85 fbg, well 5-3-84 is
screened from 74 to 84 fbg, well 5-4-83 is screened from 73 to
83 fbg Monitoring well construction details are presented on
Table 1 and recorded on the exploratory boring logs
(Appendix B)
Well Development/Sam lin Blaine developed and purged the new wells -1- -
P p p g S 85, S 3 84, and
5-4-83 on December 31, 2002 and sampled the site wells on
January 6, 2003 Blaine developed the new wells using surge
block agitation and pump evacuation Blaine's groundwater
monitoring and well development report, which includes field
sheets, is presented as Appendix D
Wellhead Survey Virgil Chavez Land Surveying of Vallejo, California surveyed
the elevation and location of the new wells on
December 23, 2002 This survey was performed to comply with
the State of California Geotracker requirements The surveyor's
report is included in Appendix E
0797 4
