4 <br /> CAMBRIA <br /> (by EPA Method 8020) was not detected A chemical concentration map is <br /> presented on Figure 2 <br /> • Well S-4 contained 12 7 ppb of DIPE and 12 3 ppb of 1,2-DCA Methanol was not <br /> detected in well S-4 <br /> Quarterly Sampling <br /> Groundwater samples from wells S-1 through S-3 were analyzed for total purgeable <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) according to EPA Method 8015 (Modified) and benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) and MTBE according to EPA Method 8020 <br /> Groundwater samples collected from well S-4 were analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, fuel <br /> oxygenates and lead scavengers according to EPA Method 8260B, and methanol by EPA <br /> Method 8015 (Modified) <br /> Chemical analytical data are presented in a summary table in Blaine's groundwater <br /> monitoring report (Appendix A) Additional groundwater analytical data are presented on <br /> Table 1 <br /> Conclusions and Recommendations <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons and MTBE were not detected in wells S-2, S-3, and S-4 this quarter, <br /> and petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in well S-1 are generally consistent with historical <br /> data for this well <br /> Cambria performed field investigation activities in December 1999 at this site which included <br /> the installation of a new monitoring well (S-4) A report documenting the fieldwork was <br /> issued to SJCPHS on April 14, 2000 <br /> Since DIPE and 1,2-DCA were detected in well S-4 this quarter We recommend continuing <br /> EPA 8260 analysis for fuel oxygenates and lead scavengers in well S-4 Methanol was not <br /> detected in well S-4 We recommend that methanol analysis be discontinued in well S-4 <br /> These changes will be implemented during the second quarter of 2000 unless we hear <br /> otherwise from SJCPHS Quarterly sampling and monitoring at this site will continue on the <br /> established schedule <br /> 0797 2 <br />
