A follow up letter will be sent out today for each of the two inspections. Hazardous waste generator inspection report—1-15-19—violations currently not resolved: Violation 102—Hazardous Waste(HW)determination 1.Waste powder coating-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody . 2. Oily water near the compressor-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody. 3. Pressure Washer waste water(gutter waste)-analysis shows trace organics. Metals analysis is from a May 2018 sample and does not use EPA methods 6010B, 6020 and 7000. 4. Burn-off residue-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody. 5. Metal garbage can (75%full of absorbent and dark material)-email from operator states the dark material is burn-off residue. No analysis results. 6. Liquid/Solid in storm drain from the external power washer operation-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody . 7. Powder collected by air filtering system-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody . 8. Sandblast media on the ground in a trailer-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody . 9. Paint booth filters-no analysis results,facility only provided chain of custody. 10. One red five gallon can partially full of solid paint waste-facility provided statement that it's HW emptied daily into a larger container. Facility needs to label as HW with"emptied daily"accumulation start date. Violation 122- Recyclable Materials Report not provided to CUPA or in CERS. Facility filled out form and uploaded to CERS. Box 526 has not been filled out with the section of HSC 25143.2 .The facility should enter HSC 25143.2(d)(1)in that section. Violation 501 - HW tank labellina.Tank on plating line used to hold HW before transfer to treatment system on other side of the building.Tank needs hazardous waste labeling. Violations 602/603-Satellite accumulated waste stored on site too long. Sandblast and metal fines waste will be shipped out on next HW pickup.Violation not resolved until receipt of disposal manifests. Violation 605- Failed to label HW containers. Statement and photos received from operator but treatment drip catch buckets are labeled "water", "empty daily". Is this hazardous waste? If yes then label as hazardous waste with an accumulation start date of"emptied daily".
