In CERS, you are reporting 30,000 gallons of water being
treated monthly by the Clean & Clear. Waste water discharges that are checked for pH and go to
the sewer(without Clean & Clear treatment) are not part of the hazardous waste treatment permit
(PBR).
Garrett
From: Craig Walters<craig(@12remierfinishing.com>
Sent:Tuesday,January 15, 2019 6:05 PM
To: Garrett Backus [EH] <gbackus(@sicehd.com>
Cc: Chris Young<chris(@premierfinishing.com>;John Alaniz [EH] <ialanizl(@sicehd.com>; Tammy
Sousa <tamm) (Ppremierfinishing.com>; Jessie Tejada <jessieftremierfinishing.com>
Subject: RE: Tons of hazardous waste water treated per year
Garrett,
None of the waste water bypass's the treatment area. Most discharges do not require the Clean &
Clear or the filter press. All discharges are checked for PH with samples taken &tested. As I stated
most of the water is as good as we receive. We have checked the TDS before and after to make that
determination. Sad
Please let me know if you or John have any other questions or concerns. Our goal is to be always in
compliant as you could see Chris is passionate about his job. We want him to grow.
Thankyou
