a
Y
r The quality of microbiological and physicochemical data depends foremost on the knowledge and ex-
perience of the laboratory personnel performing the analyses. Although certification of bioremediation
practitioners and/or biotechnical laboratories is not a regulatory requirement and, in fact, does not yet
exist, all site data and information must, nevertheless, hold up under regulatory scrutiny. Biologic has
developed the perspective to look beyond individual testing protocol to protect the integrity of an
analysis to ensure regulatory compliance and, at the same time, offer our clients cost-effective solu-
tions for meeting their bioremediation objectives.
The staff at Biologic takes pride in being so responsive, that you, our client, will think of us as a
r division of your own company. Consider us as a member of your team on every bioremediation con-
cern. Biologic will assign your project to a Project Manager (PM) who possesses related experience
on similar projects. During the duration of your project, the PM will be your personal contact at
BioLogic and will be available to answer all of your questions, provide project review, and make rec-
ommendations on sampling and adjustments to any bioremediation parameter of concern.
L V%. Our Comprehensive Array of Services --w
The term"specialized"has never before had such a comprehensive meaning as when applied to BioL*c. hi
a continuously growing market of environmental companies that explore bioremediation as a valid treatmerrt
approach,we are proud to have developed a comprehensive array of services that truly reflect not only our
technical experience and qualifications, but more importarrdy, our commitment to provide our clients with
the most cost-effective, technically advanced project support tailored to ensure remediation success—all
while within their defined budgetary and procedural constraints or requirements.
BioLogic responds to the service requirements and needs of our clients, whereas they can access as many or
f as few of our services as required for their specific project. We offer services as diverse and complex as
l analyses necessary to meet RCRA/CERCLA program requirements--#o simply providing bioremediation
practitioners with technical support documentation either for their understanding the bioremedial process or
for cherrt/regulatory presentation and workplan preparation. For clients with little or no biotechnical knowl-
edge, our services can encompass the full range of our capabilities including: site characterization, ch-
ent/regulatory liaison, workplan development, laboratory support, system design and iniplementation, and
- bioprocess monitoring. For those experienced practitioners with more advanced technical knowledge, our
services might consist only of laboratory support. Whatever the requirement(s) may be, BioLogic's goal is
to provide direction and assistance to our clients as they make accurate bioremedial process decisions.
The demand for biotechnical competence is greatly increased today as a result of an overwhelming influx of
publications and cookbook-like guidelines as well as an array of bioenhancing techniques, methods, and/or
commercial products being marketed intended to provide the environmental community with the end-all
solution to their bioremedial project needs. Unfortunately this plethora of inforn-uvjc i is frequently general-
ized and serves to further confuse the bioremedial practitioner. For example, how is one to know whether a
commercial enzyme preparation really works as promoted unless its site-specific applicability or need is
evaluated prior to utilization? Similarly, how is one to know for sure that commercial products or equipment
designed to enhance an environmental parameter(i.e.,oxygen)actually will perform as portrayed?BioLogic
can provide our clients with the answers to these and many other such questions by offering the technical
expertise and experience required to ask the appropriate questions to evaluate the efficacy of a proposed
methodology, technique, and/or commercial product being solicited prior to their consideration or imple-
mentation.
