BioLogic's Key Personnel and Consultant Profiles: -q? <br /> ` Summaries of Qualifications and Experience <br /> Marty Martinovich • President of BioLo ic/Bio Converters Inc. <br /> Marty Martinovich has served as the President of Bio Converters, Inc. (BCI) since 1993. In 1996, Mr. <br /> Martinovich, in collaboration with Ken Farrar, founded Biologic Biotechnical Laboratory and Consulting <br /> Services to provide the environmental community with a resource for biotechnical guidance and laboratory <br /> support in the field of bioremediation. Mr. Martinovich's experience includes project management and <br /> technical oversight on more than 50 successful bioremediation projects. His responsibilities have included <br /> consulting, project coordination, system design, treatment engineering, bioproeess monitoring, compilation <br /> and interpretation of data, technical evaluation, and client/regulatory liaison. In addition to his significant <br /> field experience, Mr. Martinovich has extensive training and experience in biotechnical and environmental <br /> laboratory procedures. He possesses the 40 hours OSHA training certificate(with 8 hours refresher), and a <br /> variety of other continuing education certificates in the environmental industry. He has been a licensed <br /> contractor since 1984. Mr. Martinovich is a graduate of the University of Southern California with degrees <br /> in Business Administration and Construction Management. <br /> Ken Farrar • Vice President of Operations of BioLo ic/Bio Converters Inc. <br /> r Ken Farrar has been the Vice President of Operations of Bio Converters, Inc. (BCI) since 1994. In 1996, <br /> Mr. Farrar, in collaboration with Mr. Marty Martinovich, founded Biologic Biotechnical Laboratory and <br /> Consulting Services, Mr. Farrar has acted as project manager on more than 50 bioremediation projects. His <br /> responsibilities involve performing all onsite activities including project layout, treatment engineering, <br /> project coordination,treatment inoculations,bioprocess sampling/monitoring,data evaluation and interpreta- <br /> tion, technical evaluation, and client/regulatory liaison. In his role as Vice President of Operations at <br /> Biologic, Mr. Farrar maintains all on-site responsibilities in addition to the correlation,tabling, and archiv- <br /> ing of data generated from all laboratory analyses. Mr. Farrar has extensive training and experience in bio- <br /> technical and environmental laboratory procedures. He possesses the 40 hours OSHA training certificate <br /> (- (with 8 hours refresher), and EMSHA (mining industry) certifications. He has been a licensed contractor <br /> since 1989. Mr. Farrar is a graduate of Chico State University with degrees in Business Administration and <br /> Construction Management. <br /> Richard I Cavalier B.S. C.L.S. ASCP • Director of Laboratory Services for BioLo is <br /> Richard J. Cavaliere is the Director of Laboratory Services for Biologic. In addition to Biologic, Mr. <br /> Cavaliere is also the Director of Laboratory Services and Laboratory Information System Administra- <br /> tor for Sutter-Amador Hospital in Jackson, CA where he has been employed for the past 17 years. Mr. <br /> Cavaliere possesses over 28 years of experience in the field of clinical laboratory management and <br /> operations. Prior to joining Biologic, Mr. Cavaliere owned and operated Lab of the Western States in <br /> South Lake Tahoe, CA; he served as Vice President of Operations for I l years for Automated Lab <br /> Services in Van Nuys, CA where he was responsible for 14 hospital laboratories serving 1200 clients; <br /> and, he also did investigative work both in the field and the laboratory for the Health Department in <br /> Orange, CA. As a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist and a Hazardous Waste Coordinator, he <br /> directs BioLogic with a unique understanding of both sides of the business. Mr. Cavaliere is a member <br /> of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the California Association for Medical Labora- <br /> tory Technology. He graduated on the Dean's List from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's <br /> Degree in Medical Technology-Microbiology. He also attended and graduated from the USC School <br /> of Medical Technology, and served an internship at Los Angeles County Medical Center. <br /> 5 <br />
