Ff <br /> (5V %TC <br /> A S S O C I A T E S I N C <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg, EPA Method 8015), total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> diesel (TPHd, EPA Method 8015), total petroleum hydrocarbons as kerosene (TPHk, EPA <br /> Method 8015), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX, EPA Method 8020), and <br /> oxygenate fuel additives (EPA Method 8260) <br /> Well Development and Groundwater Sampling <br /> Depth to water in the well will be measured The new well will be developed using surge and bail <br /> techniques until the produced water is relatively sediment free Prior to the collection of <br /> groundwater samples, a minimum of three well volumes (casing and sand pack) will be purged <br /> Temperature, pH, water elevation, and electric conductivity will be measured and allowed to <br /> stabilize Water samples will be collected using a dedicated disposable bailer <br /> Groundwater samples will be submitted using chain-of-custody record to a State-certified <br /> laboratory Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg, TPHd, TPHk, BTEX, and <br /> oxygenate fuel additives Purge water will be stored in 55-gallon drums approved for hazardous <br /> liquid storage pending laboratory analysis <br /> Report Preparation <br /> .� Upon completion of the well installation and development activities, a summary report will be <br /> prepared for submittal to PHS/EHD The report will include a description of all field activities, <br /> laboratory analytical results, and well logs <br /> All work described in this workplan will be performed under the direction of a California <br /> Registered Professional Engineer All work will be performed in accordance with ATC's Site <br /> Safety Plan (SSP) contained in Attachment 1 and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan <br /> contained in Attachment 2 <br /> Proiected Schedule <br /> Once approval of this workplan has been received, ATC will schedule drilling activities ATC will <br /> notify PHS/EHD at least 48 hours prior to beginning any field activities The summary report will <br /> be submitted to PHS/EHD approximately four to five weeks after the completion of field <br /> activities <br /> WELL SURVEY <br /> ATC performed a well survey for the site at the request of PHS/EHD in their correspondence <br /> dated June 12, 1998 ATC reviewed Department of Water Resources (DWR) groundwater well <br /> construction logs to identify any groundwater wells located within 2,000-foot radius of the site <br /> The search revealed eleven wells located in the vicinity of the site and eight of these wells are <br /> within approximately 2,000 feet of the site None of the eleven wells are located close enough to <br /> w 162577Tepo tslwkpwel&c 3 <br />
