Muscular pains and spasms <br /> Heat Exhaustion- Cool, pale, moist skin, heavy <br /> sweating, dilated pupils, headache, nausea, <br /> dizziness, vomiting, near normal body temperature <br /> •/ Heat Stroke Hot, red skin; very small pupils; <br /> high body temperature, reduced sweating <br /> Mitigation: Cool place for breaks <br /> Monitor personnel using pulse rate and/or blood pressure, body temperature take frequent <br /> breaks in shaded area. Unzip or remove PPE during breaks and results of personnel <br /> monitoring. Provide drinking water and/or electrolyte replacement drink. Record the time and <br /> duration of all breaks and results of personnel monitoring. Heat stroke victims must receive <br /> emergency medical care <br /> PACE 7 <br />
