' Collect an influent sample at the end of the test for laboratory analysis of TPHg/BTEX by <br /> Collet p Y Y <br /> 8015/8020 and oxygenates by 8260 (Samples to Sequoia) <br /> • Vapor extract for one to two hours Continue operation as long as possible until field <br /> readings stabilize or a maximum of two hours <br /> • Shut down IC engine and call Modesto <br /> LONG TERM VAPOR EXTRACTION TEST <br /> ' December 11, 2001 <br /> The purpose of the vapor extraction test is to determine the radius of influence A long term <br /> VET will be performed using well VWE3 <br /> Pre-test Procedures <br /> • Measure depth-to-water in extraction well (VWE3) and all observation wells (VWE2, <br /> ' VWE1, MW1-4) <br /> • At extraction wellhead VWE3, install PVC user and all piping to connect to IC engine <br /> • Install pitot tube, gauges, temperature gauge, etc for morutormg influent stream <br /> • Install monitoring caps on all observation wells, hookup magnehelic gauges set to zero <br /> • Record vacuum or pressure readings at ail monitoring points prior to testing <br /> Vaipor Extraction Test Procedures <br /> • Start up blower, initiate vapor extraction at low flow and step up flow rate/vacuum <br /> throughout the test at 30 to 60 minute intervals if possible <br /> • Monitor flow, temperature, influent and effluent concentrations with FID, vacuum, and <br /> pressure for extraction and observation wells at 15 minute intervals _ <br /> • Monitor response in observation wells at 15-minute intervals <br /> • Check knockout drum regularly, empty as needed Reduce/flow vacuum if pulling to <br /> ' much water <br /> • Collect an influent and effluent vapor sample after approximately 15 minutes of operation <br /> for laboratory analysis of TPHg/BTEX by 8015/8020 and oxygenates by 8260 (Samples <br /> to Sequoia) <br /> • Collect an influent sample at the end of the test for laboratory analysis of TPHgBTEX by <br /> ' 8015/8020 and oxygenates by 8260 (Samples to Sequoia) <br /> • Vapor extract for two to four hours Continue operation as long as possible until field <br /> readings stabilize or a maximum of four hours <br /> • Shut down IC engine and call Modesto <br /> • Pack up equipment and secure site <br /> AlexE Dieselvet <br />
