�1�aZa7 & ASSOCIATES , INC . <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING • ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING <br /> CONSTRUCTION TESTING & INSPECTION <br /> May 14,2010 Project No. 013-10141 <br /> PHASE II <br /> LIMITED SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> UNITED RENTALS O� <br /> 2911 E.FREMONT STREET � <br /> STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA 95205 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> The following report summarizes the findings of a Phase II Limited Subsurface Investigation (LSI) <br /> conducted by Krazan & Associates, Inc., (Krazan) for the United Rentals property located at 2911 E. <br /> Fremont Street in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California 95205 (subject site). Krazan conducted the <br /> Phase II LSI to preliminarily assess the subsurface soil at the locations of the active and inactive wash <br /> racks and associated clarifiers/drains, and the inactive hydraulic hoist based on the past industrial uses of <br /> the subject site since the early-1970s. The work was conducted in accordance with the scope of work <br /> presented in Krazan's April 20, 2010 Proposal/Cost Estimate No. CTP10-188 and executed by Ms. <br /> Debbie Andreotti of Citizens Business Bank. The Phase II LSI was conducted for a loan transaction and <br /> not at the request of a regulatory agency. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The subject site consists of an irregular-shaped commercial/light industrial property measuring <br /> approximately 3.84 acres with the associated San Joaquin County Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APNs) of <br /> 143-080-55 and -57. The subject site is occupied by an approximately 30,000-square-foot building, an <br /> exterior storage yard, paved parking areas, and landscaped grounds currently utilized by United Rentals <br /> as a heavy equipment rental facility. The subject site building contains an inactive equipment wash area <br /> with associated drains and a clarifier,and an active wash rack, drains and a clarifier which are reportedly <br /> connected to the municipal sewer system. <br /> The subject site is located on the U.S. Geological Survey, 7.5 minute Stockton West, California <br /> topographic quadrangle map, dated 1968, photorevised 1987.
