Schneider
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: AA Tool Rental, 2911 E. Fremont St. Stockton, CA
Dear Steven:
We are submitting this letter and a site diagram as a proposed addendum to our
previously submitted work plan.
This letter should be called Phase I A of the workplan, and the original should
be Phase I B.
This addendum - Phase I A, is requesting to, over excavate the previous
excavation to the north of the previously indicated contaminated area of the tank
excavation. In addition, we are proposing to excavate the area of the "line leak" using
an excavator. We have included a top and side view of the proposed areas to be
excavated. We will be using a Photo Ionization detector to pre screen areas that we
believe are clean.
An adequate number of lab samples will be taken to verify that the site is clean.
We estimate that the former tank areas will be over excavated by 50 to 60 cubic
yards, and the line areas will be over excavated to approximately 8-12 cubic yards.
Contaminated soils will be stockpiled on site with previously excavated soils.
Overburden (clean soil) will be stockpiled in a separate pile and samples will be taken
to verify they are not contaminated. The hole will be filled with clean soils.
We anticipate taking samples of the spoils pile for disposal at the forward
landfill. We will send you copies of those reports, as well as the acceptance receipts,
and transportation documents so that a closure letter can be issued.
