4
05 December 2007
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0327
Page 8 of S
a dedicated teflon tubing used in conjunction with an inertia pump. The bailers are disposed of after
one use and require no decontaminating and the teflon tubing used with the inertia pump is either
dedicated to each well or changed at each sampling event, thereby minimizing cross contamination
due to sampling devices. Samples will be drawn and collected in such a manner that agitation and
exposure of the ground water to the atmosphere are minimal.
3.6.4. Sample Handling
Ground water samples will be collected into laboratory supplied containers. Ground water samples
to be analyzed for TPH-g,TPH-d.BTEX,oxygenated compounds(MTBE,TAME,ETBE,DIPE and
TBA)and fuel additives(I,2-DCA and EDB)will be collected into 40-milliliter(m])volatile organic
analysis (VOA) vials containing no sample preservative. Following collection. the samples will be
placed on ice and kept in a cooler until delivered to the laboratory for analysis. Chain of custody
protocols will be used to document sample custody transfer from the field to the analytical
laboratory. A chain of custody form will accompany the samples.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
