The report describes the results from the advancement of two soil-
c
° vapor probe borings (P-13 and-P-14) onsite. Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as
gasoline (TPH-g), benzene, toluene, ethyl.benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); methyl
tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), and, 1,2-DCA were not detected above the laboratory
reporting limits in either soil gas sample. Although the results from the soil gas
investigation may satisfy regulatory requirements regarding soil vapor Environmental
Screening Levels (ESLs), (San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board), and
California Human Health Screening Levels (CHHSLs), the report does not address soil
concentration .results for contaminants of concern that exceed the ESLs for gross
contamination and direct exposure. You must address these concerns posed by high
contaminant concentrations found in soil samples to satisfactory complete your evaluation
of ESLs.
If you have any questions; please contact Vicki McCartney, Senior Registered
Environmental Health Specialist, by telephone at (209) 468-9852 or by email at
vhiccartne ci)sjcehd.com.
.Sincerely,
Victoria L.
