In
y y
the work plan AGE proposes to install one groundwater monitoring well (MW-5) to total depth of
approximately sixty-five feet below surface grade (bsg), and advance three soil borings (P-17, P-
18, and P-19) to collect depth-discrete grab groundwater samples at potential petroleum
hydrocarbon migration pathways to- further delineate the 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA)
groundwater plume.
EHD approves the work plan as submitted: ,However, EHD recommends the three proposed soil
borings be relabeled P-15, P-16, and P-17 to continue the numerical sequence for labeling
boreholes associated with this site.
f
MW-5 will be screened at approximately forty-five to sixty-.five feet bsg at the location illustrated
on Figure 2 of the work plan to monitor the 1,2-DCA groundwater plume down-gradient of 1,2-
DCA-impacted monitoring well MW-4. The three proposed soil borings illustrated on Figute 2
will be advanced to assess the cross--gradient extent of the 1,2-DCA-impacted groundwater
plume. Soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals for lithological evaluation and not for
chemical analysis. Proposed soil boring located adjacent to CPT-02 will be advanced to total
depth of approximately fifty-five feet bsg to collect one grab groundwater sample at total depth.
Two soil borings proposed to be advanced in the sideway on the west side of Oro Street and in
the southwest' corner of the Grewal's Market property, will be advanced to total depth of
approximately ninety-five feet bsg for collection of grab groundwater:samples at approximately
fifty-five, seventy-five, and ninety-five feet bsg.
