(AGE)on your behalf.. Based on the results of the site conceptual model,
AGE recommends the advancement of two cone penetrometer test(CPT)borings and sampling of
deep groundwater to define the vertical and lateral extent of dissolved contaminant, 1,2-
dichloroethane(1,2-DCA).
EHD approves the advancement of two. CPT borings to total depths of approximately 100 feet
below surface grade (bsg). One CPT boring will be advanced approximately 70 feet southeast of
monitoring well MW-4, and one CPT boring will be: advanced approximately 40feet west-
northwest of MW-1. Multiple soil borings will be advanced adjacent tothe two original CPT
borings to collect grab groundwater samples in each hydrogeologic unit identified by the two
CPT borings.
Grab groundwater and selected soil samples will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons
quantified as. gasoline (TPH-g); TPH quantified as diesel (TPH-d); benzene, toluene, ethyl
benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX); methanol, ethanol, methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE),
tertiary-butyl alcohol(TBA),di-isopropyl ether.(RIPE),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETRE),tertiary
amyl methyl ether(TAME),. 1,2-dibromoedme.(EDB),and 1,2-DCA..
Please submit a permit application and fee of$368 to EHD, and complete the fieldwork by June
29, 2006.
