' 17 October 2005
. AGE-NC Project No. 97-0327
' The fuel additive 1,2-DCA was the only analyte detected in this ground water sampling
event, at a concentration of 12 µg/1 in ground water sample MW-4.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected during the second quarter 2005, AGE recommends:
• Continued utilization of wells MW-1 through MW-4 for quarterly ground water monitoring
and sampling. The next quarterly ground water monitoring event is tentatively scheduled for
July 2005.
' A site conceptual model(dated 29 March 2004)was previously submitted to EHD and recommended
that at least two additional soil borings be advanced in a south section of the site utilizing cone
1 penetrometer testing (CPT) technology. In a letter dated 15 September 2005, the EHD concurred
with AGE's recommendation for the CPT soil borings, and directed that a CPT soil boring work plan
be submitted for EHD review by 01 November 2005.Therefore,a work plan addressing on-site CPT
' . soil borings is forthcoming and will be submitted by 01 November 2005. Upon EHD-approval of
the work plan, AGE will submit an application to EHD for drilling permit, and schedule all field
work.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.Evaluation ofthe hydro geologic conditions
at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from review of previous consultants reports
and a limited number of available data points(ground water samples)and subsurface conditions may
vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or.implied, is made as to the
professional interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced CeoEnwironmentel,Inc.
t
