i, 17 July 2002
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0327
' 0 The ground water elevation at the site was within the screened intervals of wells MW-1,
MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 which yield samples fully representative of shallow ground water
conditions.
' • Dissolved TPH-d was detected in samples collected from wells MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4;
previously, the greatest TPH-d concentrations have been detected from wells MW-2 and
MW-3 while low concentrations have been detected from well MW-1.
• Minor concentrations of BTEX had previously been detected in wells MW-1, MW-2 and
MW-3 indicating a minor impact to ground water in the area assessed.
• Low concentrations of dissolved MTBE, TBA and 1,2-DCA were detected in samples
collected from wells MW-2, indicating a minor impact to ground water in the area assessed.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected during the first quarter 2002, AGE recommends:
Continued quarterly ground water monitoring. The next quarterly monitoring and sampling
event is tentatively scheduled for June 2002.
' Submission of one ground water monitoring well sample to a microbiological laboratory for
microbial enumeration and physicochemical analysis to evaluate the potential for adequate natural
attenuation of petroleum hydrocarbons in ground water at the site.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
1 Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluation of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from review of previous
' consultants reports and a limited number of available data points (soil and ground water samples)
and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or
implied, is made as to the professional interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in
this report.
i
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,lnc.
