LIMITED SITE ASSESSMENT OF THE FORMER UST AREA Bova Property 4445 East Fremont Street Stockton, California August 1994 1.0 INTRODUCTION In accordance with a request from Mr. Anthony Bova, Geological Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) has prepared this report for a limited site assessment of the former underground storage tank area at 4445 East Fremont Street in .Stockton, California (the site). The purpose of this investigation was to assess if impacted soil is present as a result of the former operation of underground storage tanks (UST's) at the site. The site Igcation is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan.of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. 2.0 BACKGROUND 2.1 Site Location �on The site is located on the northwest corner of Fremont Street and Stokes Street in a flat, light industrial-rural area east of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (Figure 1). Tile site houses a consumer product manufacturing company. Two underground storage tanks (UST's) were operated at the property until 1985. The UST's were located east of the warehouse, along Stokes Avenue. The approximate location of the UST's is illustrated in Figure 2. 2.2 UST Removal According to information provided to GeoAudit by Mr. Bova, one 4,000-gallon diesel tank and one 6,000-gallon gasoline tank were removed from the site in 1988 by NorCal f Construction of Sacramento. One soil sample was collected from beneath each tank. #.� According to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) inspection report, dated March 2, 1988, both., soil samples were collected from the east ends of the tanks. The depths at which the samples.were collected was documented in the PHS/EHD report.
