LIMITED SITE ASSESSMENT OF THE FORMER UST AREA <br /> Bova Property <br /> 4445 East Fremont Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> August 1994 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr. Anthony Bova, Geological Audit Services, Inc. <br /> (GeoAudit) has prepared this report for a limited site assessment of the former <br /> underground storage tank area at 4445 East Fremont Street in .Stockton, California (the <br /> site). The purpose of this investigation was to assess if impacted soil is present as a result <br /> of the former operation of underground storage tanks (UST's) at the site. The site Igcation <br /> is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan.of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> �on <br /> The site is located on the northwest corner of Fremont Street and Stokes Street in a flat, <br /> light industrial-rural area east of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (Figure 1). Tile <br /> site houses a consumer product manufacturing company. Two underground storage tanks <br /> (UST's) were operated at the property until 1985. The UST's were located east of the <br /> warehouse, along Stokes Avenue. The approximate location of the UST's is illustrated in <br /> Figure 2. <br /> 2.2 UST Removal <br /> According to information provided to GeoAudit by Mr. Bova, one 4,000-gallon diesel tank <br /> and one 6,000-gallon gasoline tank were removed from the site in 1988 by NorCal <br /> f Construction of Sacramento. One soil sample was collected from beneath each tank. <br /> #.� According to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) inspection report, dated March 2, 1988, both., soil samples were <br /> collected from the east ends of the tanks. The depths at which the samples.were collected <br /> was documented in the PHS/EHD report. <br /> The soil samples were transported under chain-of-custody to Canonie Environmental (a <br /> state-certified laboratory) and analyzed for total volatile petroleum hydrocarbons (TVPH), <br /> Ge ko.;Aa„S.�.. 1 <br /> S1_KM L0Za3LJE MAGIC RPI' <br />
