French Camp Road
French Camp, California
Case No. 1TMC120 .
Dear Ms. Shelton:
On behalf of Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Stantec Consulting Corporation (Stantec)
is submitting this Work Plan for Additional Site Characterization (Work Plan) to the Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) for the PG&E General Construction Yard located
at 401 E. French Camp Road (the site, see Figure 1). This Work Plan was prepared in response to
the RWQCB letter dated December 16, 2009, requesting additional subsurface investigation to
further define the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soils in the vadose zone at the
site. In addition, the RWQCB requested modeling of the proposed soil concentrations remaining in
the soil following excavation to determine if TPH will migrate to groundwater.
The proposed scope of work consists of the following actions:
• Advancement of three direct-push soil borings to ;provide vertical delineation of impacted
soils;
Application of the analytical model VLEACH to determine the potential for possible migration
to groundwater, and
• Preparation of a summary report documenting the results of the additional investigation and the
VLEACH modeling.
I:\PG&E\French Camp\2010 Remediation\Work Plans\PGE French Camp_2010 WP_fnl.doc `
