Heinz Seed Operations <br /> Design of containment area: <br /> 5,800 Hazardous Waste Tank <br /> Hazardous Waste Tank <br /> The hazardous waste tank is outdoors in a concrete spill containment structure located <br /> on a concrete floor which provides general secondary containment. The tank has a <br /> single wall poly shell which provides integral safety of the contents <br /> Visual inspection of containment area: <br /> Visual inspection of the containment areas found them dry and free of and hazardous <br /> waste. The containment walls were free of cracks and gaps which would compromise <br /> the containment. The inspection of the entire area was found to be dry. The secondary <br /> containment area is dry. <br /> The hazardous waste general containment was found to be dry and free of cracks. The <br /> hazardous waste tank's interior was checked and it was free of cracks or compromise. <br /> All liquid hazardous waste stored in the 5,800 gallon poly tank is continuosly monitored <br /> and the pH is adjusted automatically to be maintained at a pH of 7.0. All discharges <br /> from the 5,800 gallon hazadous waste tank are sent to the City of Stockton sewer. <br /> Site Security: <br /> The hazardous waste tank is at the back of Heinz Seed Operations and is protected by <br /> surveillance cameras, limited access and security fencing that surrounds the property. <br /> Any unauthorized intrusion alarms security. <br /> Secondary Containment findings: The secondary containment system is of sufficient <br /> capacity and condition for the containment of releases from all tanks and ancillary <br /> equipment.
