Purpose of the test borings is to obtain water samples <br /> for conducting the EPA tests listed below. <br /> Procedure: <br /> 1. Two 4. 5 inch diameter test borings will be made to <br /> approximately 5 feet to 15 feet below the ground <br /> surface. <br /> 2. Test holes will be covered and left open at least 234 <br /> hours in order to let the ground water depth in test <br /> holes stabilize. The hole will then be purged 3 times <br /> and a ground water sample obtained by means of a <br /> bailer. <br /> 3 . Test holes will be backfilled with bentonite to at <br /> least 5 feet above ground water depth and then soils <br /> cuttings the remainder of the depth. <br /> 4. The following EPA tests will be conducted: <br /> EPA 614 EPA 619 zine. <br /> EPA 601 EPA 81-50 Chloride <br /> EPA 504 Ammonia as N <br /> EPA 632 Nitrates <br />
