The wells were installed in
February 1987 by Kleinfelder and Associates. Initial groundwater sampling
(February 12, 1987) showed nondetectable levels of benzene, toluene, xylene
and ethyl benzene (BTXE) in the three wells. Monitoring well MW-1 detected
0.3 ppm total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) .
The wells were resampled on February 16, 1988 by McClelland Engineers.
Purging and sampling of the wells was performed with a teflon bailer.
Conductivity, pH and temperature were monitored during purging of the wells.
Once these parameters had stabilized (after 11,3 well volumes) , samples were
collected with a teflon bailer.
The groundwater samples were analyzed for BTXE and TPH by EPA Methods
602 and 8015, respectively. No detectable concentrations of these compounds
were found in the groundwater samples.
Very truly yours,
MCCLELLAND ENGINEERS, INC.
Thomas D.
