KLEINFELDER
September 4, 1987
File: 24-2041-3
Mr. Glen Kaffenberger
Pet Incorporated
400 South Fourth St.
St. Louis, MO 63102
SUBJECT: Pet/Progresso Foods Facility
Formerly Ogden Food Products Corporation
Dear Glenn:
Please find the laboratory results, location maps, chain-of-custody and a
boring log for location B-17 enclosed. This soil boring location was
sampled by Kleinfelder on 26 August 1987 to provide further chemical
characterization of oily soils associated with a leaking underground
storage tank.
It is our understanding that Pet Incorporated will be submitting this new
information to the RWQCB as a package including monthly measured ground
water elevations and written responses to their technical questions. In a
02 September 1987 telephone conversation with Robert Niblack, RWQCB, he
indicated that our draft response to his question regarding
photoionization device (PID) screening is helpful.
Should you have any questions or require assistance in submitting this
package to the RWQCB, please call.
Very truly yours,
KLEINFELDER
J
Mike Cyrocki
Project Hydrogeologist
Environmental Services Division
Central Valley Group
MC:pf
59-87-669
KLEINFELDER 9795 Business Park Drive, Suite C, Sacramento, CA 95827 (916) 366-1701
